2. Measure Your Greenhouse Gas Emissions:

Teams for 2011 are asked to complete a greenhouse gas inventory. This can be individualized, with team members, families and/or the entire school or community making calculations. The greenhouse gas calculation will be part of your Team Entry that you will submit on or before May 18, 2011. Click here to learn more about the Greenhouse Gas Inventory.

3. Create a Local Climate Change Implementation Plan:
Submission due: May 18, 2011

The second and most important part of your Team Entry is the Local Climate Change Implementation Plan. Your plan may focus on your school or your community. You decide what your goals are, how you will achieve them and how you will measure success. Use the 12 Steps to Sustainability to choose your projects. Make sure to include improving recycling, energy efficiency or using renewable energy sources, and teaching others about how to be more sustainable. You can combine aspects of these together, or they can be separate initiatives in your Implementation Plan. You will submit your Plan on or before May 18, 2011.
